In 1973, NER started manufacturing wide ribbons. The core
philosophy was to provide customers with a quality product
and unparalleled service.
In 1980 NER's first narrow ribbon production
plant was opened. Film coaters and narrow band slitters
were soon added to allow for the production of correctable,
multi strike, and thermal transfer ribbons. In 1988, a
major expansion of the Narrow Ribbon Division was accomplished
with the acquisition of the Computer Supplies Division
of Frye Copysystems and, subsequently, the Canadian Division
of NER was opened. All products are supported by a well trained sales, technical,
and customer service group who believe in the NER tradition
of providing superior quality, value, and service to its
